Fast Imagery

(EN) : Cheap production and fast, unsustainable consumption of images. Fast imagery deals with this phenomenon of fleeting image consumption and today's accessibility and speed of image production. The thesis analyses the role of language and technology and uses generative systems to show how today's use of images affects social patterns, social justice and, directly, the planet's ecology.

(DE) : Billige Produktion und schneller, nicht-nachhaltiger Konsum von Bildern. Fast imagery beschäftigt sich mit diesem Phänomen des flüchtigen Bildkonsums und der heutigen Zugänglichkeit und Geschwindigkeit der Bildproduktion. Die Thesis analysiert die Rolle von Sprache und Technologie und zeigt anhand generativer Systeme, wie sich der heutige Umgang mit Bildern auf gesellschaftliche Muster, soziale Gerechtigkeit und direkt ökologisch auf den Planeten auswirkt.
