Fast Imagery

(EN) : In our BA thesis ‘Fast Imagery,’ we focus on today's image consumption. We address the unsustainable production and fleeting consumption of images and what this flood of images does to us. This investigation has resulted in various outputs: a series of talks, a pop-up stand, a leaflet and a publication. We address images, but our design is purely typographical. Our project does not only spark discourse through its output: all of the content found in the publication has been conceived, moderated and edited by us through conversations, interviews and contributed texts from various people.

(DE) : In unserer BA Diplomarbeit «Fast Imagery» stellen wir den heutigen Bildkonsum ins Zentrum. Wir thematisieren die nicht-nachhaltige Produktion und den flüchtigen Konsum von Bildern und was dieser Bilderstrom mit uns macht. Durch diese Untersuchung sind verschiedene Outputs entstanden. Eine Talk-Reihe, ein Pop-up Stand, ein Faltflyer und eine Publikation. Wir thematisieren Bilder, gestalten aber rein typografisch. Unser Projekt löst nicht erst durch dessen Output einen Diskurs aus: alle Inhalte, die in der Publikation zu finden sind, haben wir durch Gespräche, Interviews und gesammelte Texte verschiedener Menschen konzipiert, moderiert und editiert.
